Welcome from the Dean Morgan T. Sammons

It is a pleasure to introduce you to the innovative clinical psychology, couple and family therapy, organizational psychology, clinical counseling and psychopharmacology programs offered at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University.

Our CSPP professional family includes over 14,000 alumni working in schools, community clinics, medical centers, Fortune 500 companies, courts and prisons and universities. They are therapists, educators, advocates, policy-makers, supervisors, researchers, administrators and consultants, strengthening the communities in which they live and work.

Our programs integrate scholarship with professional practice. When you leave CSPP you not only know what interventions are effective with people and organizations, but also how to implement and evaluate them. We offer concentrations in cutting-edge fields such as psychopharmacology, health psychology, organization development, forensics, gender studies, social justice advocacy and multicultural psychology.

The largest of the five schools at Alliant, CSPP embodies Alliant’s focus as a professional practice university in a multicultural and international context. CSPP has been recognized nationally and internationally for its expertise in and commitment to preparing behavioral science professionals to work effectively with diverse and multicultural populations. Faculty members are experts in their fields and strong role models for students.

CSPP students are smart, committed, service-oriented and independent. Collectively, CSPP students provide over one million hours of service annually to their local communities. Postdoctoral CSPP graduates provide an additional 450,000 hours of professional service in the United States in preparation for licensure. The contributions that CSPP students make to this nation are inspiring.

I thank you for your interest in CSPP and I wish you great success in your graduate studies.

Cordially,

Dean Morgan Sammons
