"We have amazing faculty and staff here at Alliant and CSFS. A lot of them have other practices, that are in their actual field and then they come and bring their experiences to us in the class room.”

About CSFS

About the California School of Forensic Studies

Clinical Forensic Psychology is a dynamic career field bridging the judicial system, law and psychology. At the California School of Forensic Studies (CSFS) we are on the forefront of redefining and expanding the traditional definitions of forensic psychology and forensic studies. At the core of our current academic programs are our Psy.D and Ph.D in Clinical Forensic Psychology.  Students of each of our programs are supported to attain core clinical skills, as well as gain extensive knowledge in forensic-related topics such as criminal psychology and behavior, and the judicial system.  Students also have the opportunity to study forensic issues such as neuropsychology, risk and threat assessment, police psychology, and juvenile legal issues.

Our Mission

The California School of Forensic Studies (CSFS) is dedicated to providing education and training in clinical forensic psychology and related fields to prepare individuals for clinical and private professional practice, teaching, research and community service in our diverse global society. CSFS strives to impact public opinion and policy through scientific research and evidence-based practices. To realize our mission, CSFS offers programs and services that meet the highest professional and ethical standards.

Professional Field Training

Students will have the opportunity to participate in a practicum and internship.  Practicums allow the student to apply the knowledge they are learning in the classroom to real-world situations.  Practicums are a great way for students to train in the fundamentals of clinical practice, work with a variety of populations and get on-site supervision.  Internships focus on the advanced training of clinical practice and teach students how to be able to manage caseloads while dealing with the clinical aspect.  more

Significant Opportunities for Research

The field of forensics is still a growing field.  There is still much more research that needs to be done to further advance the field.  At CSFS, students are guided based upon their interests as to how they can assist in expanding this little known about field.  more
